In the holidays I went to Rotorua with my uncle and auntie, my two cousins and my two sisters. When we got there we went to the Buried Village. It was a good experience but a lot of walking. When we got there they gave us a map to go around the whole village. There’s a river where sometimes you can see trout in but we never saw any trout. We carried on walking and we saw this waterfall, it was really cool. Then we had to climb some steps. At the end of the track there is a shop. That’s were we got us a ice cream cause it was hot from all that walking. But after all that we learnt a lot of history. When we finished that we went back to the car and went for a feed at MacDonald’s.
The next day we went to the gondolas and luge. It was a really cool sight when you’re up in the air. It takes a long time to get to the top. But when we got to the top we all went to the luge to go down. We have to wear a helmet for safety. When we got on the luge a man tells you how to use it, how to slow down and go faster. When we all finished our rides we went back down on the gondolas then went home.
